Exeter Cathedral School - The last day
Friday 10th July 2026
Due to financial pressures faced by Exeter Cathedral School, a decision was made by the school Governors at the beginning of 2026, to close the school at the end of the 2025-2026 academic year. Exeter School provided the educational home for the Choristers from September 2026.
The final speech day and last day of the Cathedral School was Friday 10th July 2026.

Speech Day & Prize-Giving - Programme - pdf file (Pages 6 to 19 show details of pupil names, their prizes and destinations. These are omitted in the pdf file for safeguarding/data protection reasons.)
A Leavers' Eucharist was held in the cathedral on the previous Thursday, 2nd July, conducted by a former Exeter Cathedral School Chaplain, Bishop Martin Shaw - service booklet - pdf file (apologies for the doodling on the booklet, but this was done by a pupil during the service - the copy was collected in the cathedral after the service)
