2020

Exeter Cathedral Choir

September - Chorister rehearsal. The choir did not sing from the first Covid lockdown in March 2020 until the start of the September term that year. The choristers had three weeks of rehearsals before they sang a service, in order to prepare them after such a long absence. Sunday services during those three weeks were sung by the adults.

Under the Covid regulations in place at that time, the song schools could not be used as they were too cramped and lacked suitable ventilation, so all rehearsals were in the nave. The girl and boy choristers also had to rehearse separately.
