1989, Field of Remembrance

A photograph that appeared in Exeter's Express and Echo to mark the annual dedication of the Field of Remembrance in early November, near to the Hooker Statue and in front of the Clarence Hotel. For many years, the choir finished its Saturday morning practice slightly early, in order to process out to the Field of Remembrance with the Dean and Chapter. The ceremony of dedication included the choir singing one item, the hymn 'O God, Our Help in Ages Past'.
