42a - Cathedral at night

The cathedral at night, looking at the north tower and side entrance. There are still iron railings around the cathedral, so the photograph pre-dates their removal for the war effort (whenever the date of that removal was).

It is uncertain how the photograph has been lit, as there were presumably wartime blackout conditions in place (see photographs 42b, 44c, 44g which, due to their similarlity to this one, may have been taken on the same photographic outing).
